Andrew is an International Event Rider & Trainer based at Northill in Bedfordshire.
Andrew was born into a farming family on the west coast of
Wales. He was given his first pony, a Shetland, when he
was just two years old and was hunting by the age of
seven. Prince Phillip Games, Tetrathlon and Pony Club led him
towards Eventing. At 22 he completed his first CCI*** at
Blair Castle International Horse Trials on his own two horses.
In 2005 Andrew moved to Newbury and had a
hectic season with over one hundred rides as
well as selling, teaching, breaking and competing.

The opportunity to base himself with Gill Watson
for a year allowed him to concentrate on his best
six horses. Following this Andrew then went and based himself with
Nick Turner before setting up on his own. Andrew and Rachel have a lovely yard on an idyllic estate and with Andrews drive and determination and Rachel's care and attention to detail it makes for a winning team

In 2011 Andrew competed at two CCI ****, Luhmuhlen and Burghley. This was with a horse he had produced from novice level called Cadoc Z.
After his double clear at Burghley Cadoc Z was sold and we wish him all the best.
Andrew was 43 in the British eventing rider rankings of over 13000 members last year.
The wealth of experience Andrew has gained over the last 17 years is put to great use when producing young horses from 4 year old classes to 4* level.
Andrew believes each horse should be allowed to develop as an individual and not rushed up the grades.
Andrew is always on the lookout for the next super star!
